This Guide

. . . explains how to install the hardware and initially configure the software on your GT 80 Internet access router.

This guide is for anyone who installs GT 80 routers. If you are unfamiliar with computer networking, you may need the support of an Internet Service Provider (ISP), a Frame Relay provider, or a network administrator.

You should find the following in your GT 80 package:

The GT 80
A power supply and its power cord
A CD that contains the OpenROUTE Online Library
GT 80 User Guide (this guide)
Console null-modem cable with adapter

The CD (included with your router) provides extensive information on how to configure and monitor your router using the OpenROUTE command line interface. The documentation is also available on the OpenROUTE Networks Web site at www.openroute.com.
