This appendix contains worksheets to help you in your initial configuration of your GT 50. Use the worksheet(s) appropriate for your router's configuration. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network administrator gives you the information you need.

IP Addressing

You need the following IP addressing information for all routers.


What is the IP address for your router's Ethernet interface? This address must be unique on the local Ethernet. Note: Your GT 50 comes preconfigured with the following address: 192.168.1.1. You can change this address.	______.______.______.______
What is the IP subnet mask for your router's Ethernet interface? Note: Your GT 50 comes preconfigured with the following subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. You can change this mask.	______.______.______.______
What is the IP address and subnet mask of the WAN interface? In place of an assigned IP address, you can use unnumbered IP or dynamic IP addressing. In the command line interface, to set up unnumbered IP, set the IP address of the WAN to 0.0.0.n, where n is the number of the WAN interface, and set the subnet mask to 0.0.0.0. Note: Your GT 50 comes pre-configured with its WAN interface set to unnumbered IP. You can change this setting dynamic IP addressing, set the IP address of the WAN to 0.0.0.n where n is the number of the WAN interface, and set the subnet mask of the WAN to 255.255.255.0.
