1. Why can I not connect to my ISP even though my router's WAN
Verify that your interfaces are actually up by entering the Monitor mode and listing the configuration of the router. View the status of the interfaces listed that are actually up. Check your IP addressing scheme by verifying that your IP addresses are configured correctly by entering the Monitor mode under the IP protocol and using the interface and static commands.
Verify that your route statements are correct.

At the IP configuration prompt, set the default network gateway:

8. Why does my GT 60 Series router not send the init string to the
Some modems (for example, the Hayes Optima) have Carrier Detect set to ON as the default. The GT Series router expects to see Carrier Detect set to OFF when there is no connection. To correct the problem, do the following:
