UE-ERROR
Short Syntax:
ATR.001 fail rec rcvd frm source_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.001 Fail record received from source_address network network
Description:
This message is generated when a failure record is received from another node on the ring.
Cause:
Another node has determined that there are sticky biphase errors or that send messages are not returning.
Action:
Use Domain/OS lcnode command to diagnose ring.

ATR.002

Level:
UE-ERROR
Short Syntax:
ATR.002 bd ver or lngth frm source_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.002 Bad version or length in packet from source_address network network
Description:
This message is generated when a packet is received with an incorrect version or bad length.
Cause:
This is probably an incorrect length unless there is a very old Apollo node on the ring.

ATR.003

Level:
P-TRACE
Short Syntax:
ATR.003 pkt rcvd frm source_address for DDS nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.003 Packet received from source_address for Apollo Domain forwarder network network
Description:
This message is generated for each packet the handler passes up to the Apollo Domain forwarder.

ATR.004

Level:
P-TRACE
Short Syntax:
ATR.004 pkt rcvd frm source_address for IP nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.004 Packet received from source_address for IP forwarder network network
Description:
This message is generated for each packet the handler passes up to the IP forwarder.

ATR.005

Level:
P-TRACE
Short Syntax:
ATR.005 ARP pkt rcvd frm source_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.005 ARP packet received from source_address network network
Description:
This message is generated for each packet the handler passes up to the ARP handler.

ATR.006

Level:
UE-ERROR
Short Syntax:
ATR.006 unkn IP pkt typ frm source_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.006 Unknown IP packet type from source_address network network
Description:
This message is generated when a packet arrives on the Domain TCP socket which is not for IP or ARP.

ATR.007

Level:
P-TRACE
Short Syntax:
ATR.007 ARP snt to destination_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.007 ARP packet sent to destination_address network network
Description:
This message is generated when an ARP packet is sent.

ATR.008

Level:
P-TRACE
Short Syntax:
ATR.008 IP snt to destination_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.008 IP packet sent to destination_address network network
Description:
This message is generated when an IP packet is sent.

ATR.009

Level:
U-TRACE
Short Syntax:
ATR.009 mnt pkt snt nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.009 Maintainance packet sent network network
Description:
This message is generated when a maintainance packet is sent. Maint packets are only sent when there has been no activity on the ring for one minute.

ATR.010

Level:
UE-ERROR
Short Syntax:
ATR.010 fail rec snt nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.010 Fail record sent network network
Description:
This message is generated when a maintainance packet cannot be sent. The fail record may also fail to be sent.

ATR.011

Level:
P-TRACE
Short Syntax:
ATR.011 DDS snt to destination_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.011 DDS packet sent to destination_address network network
Description:
This message is generated when an DDS packet is sent.

ATR.012

Level:
UE-ERROR
Short Syntax:
ATR.012 shrt for IP/ARP frm source_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.012 Too short for IP/ARP header from source_address network network
Description:
This message is generated when a packet is received which is not long enough to contain the extra header for IP and ARP packets.
Cause:
Programming error at remote node, or packet corruption on ring.

ATR.013

Level:
UE-ERROR
Short Syntax:
ATR.013 trunc for IP/ARP frm source_address nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.013 Truncated for IP/ARP packet from source_address network network
Description:
This message is generated when a packet is received which is not long enough to contain the the amount of IP or ARP data that is claimed in the extra header for IP and ARP packets.
Cause:
Programming error at remote node, or packet corruption on ring.

ATR.014

Level:
UI-ERROR
Short Syntax:
ATR.014 Slftst fld on step_name , nt network
Long Syntax:
ATR.014 Self-test failed on step step_name , network network
Description:
This message occurs when the self-test of the interface fails. The network will go down, if it had not been down previously.
Cause:
If step_name is "NPGA initialization," then Apollo Token Ring interface is probably defective, or seriously misconfigured.
Action:
Replace interface.
Cause:
If step_name is "Analog loopback test," then problem is probably internal to the interface. This means that an analog loopback test up to the bypass relay on the interface failed.
Action:
Replace interface.
Cause:
If step_name is "Network connection," then problem is probably in the connection to the network, or the network itself is dead.
Action:
Diagnose network problem. Check for disconnected cables, etc.
Cause:
If step_name is "Software bug," there is a bug in the router software. The self-test should never be in this state.
Action:
Contact customer service.
